ASTRONOMY KIT FOR GCSE COURSES

K. 1 Lens kit for a small telescope.

This kit is intended for those people who are studying Astronomy as a GCSE course, in which they are required to build a telescope as part of the coursework.

The kit comes complete with two pages of useful information about the construction of the telescope and how to measure magnification, true field of view and apparent field of view. The kit also contains important safety information.

The kit consists of:
A 50mm diameter achromatic objective lens with a focal length of either 7" or 13", depending upon what we currently have in stock, and a pair of plano-convex singlet lenses, suitable for making a Ramsden eyepiece.

However, this kit is also suitable for building a finder telescope for mounting on a larger astronomical telescope.
